Privacy Notice

Peekaboo is operated by Bojana Ivanovska, who is the data controller for personal data processed through the service. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

Data we collect and why

• Account data (name, email, sign-in credentials) — to create and run your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Call and chat data (call codes, chat messages, call duration) — to provide calls, chat and credit usage. Video and audio go directly between participants and are not stored by us. Legal basis: contract.
• Credit and reward history — to keep your balance accurate. Legal basis: contract.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, logs) — for security, fraud prevention and fixing problems. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share data with

• Service providers that host and run Peekaboo (hosting, database, authentication).
• Stripe, our payment processor, for the sale of credit packs, payments, fraud prevention, tax compliance and receipts.
• Connection servers used to help two devices find each other during a call.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside your country. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Chat messages are kept until the call or account is deleted. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised. Payment records are kept by Stripe as required by tax law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority (in North Macedonia, the Personal Data Protection Agency). We respond to requests within one month.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls and row-level permissions on stored data.

Cookies

Peekaboo uses only essential browser storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
